Joslyn Clark Diesel Fire Pump Controllers are designed and listed specifically for diesel engine driven fire pump service. These controllers meet or exceed all requirements of the National Fire
Protection Association Standard NFPA 20, are listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc., and approved by the Factory Mutual System.
Diesel Controllers provide four major functions:
- Starts the diesel engine automatically from water pressure control or non-automatically from manual electric control.
- Maintains charge on engine starting batteries.
- Monitors engine as well as system conditions.
- Initiates a weekly program test of the system.
Selection Criteria:
Diesel Engine Type - Diesel Engine Manufacturer and model number is required to provide the proper control circuit setup.
Voltage - Diesel engine may be 12 or 24 volts DC with neagtive ground. Controller supply voltage must be 115 or 230 volts AC. Specific voltage must be specified.
